A workshop was held in Douala from 18 to 21 March 2025 to harmonise the data presentation template for various training institutions to feature on the ‘CAM TVET’ platform.

CAM TVET is a SESDP innovation aimed at creating a platform to promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in Cameroon.

Since these training opportunities are provided by Government institutions such as MINEFOP, MINESEC, MINADER, MINEPIA, MINPROFF, and MINJEC, it is necessary to update and harmonise data presentation relating to these ministries.

Accordingly, the workshop in Douala was designed with the foreground. During four days, the issue was examined by members of MINEFOP/MINESEC teams, with the participation of various identified stakeholders such as MINADER, MINEPIA, MINPROFF, MINJEC, FNE, INS and ONEFOP.

The experts’ work was based on the first version of the school information sheet appended to the concept note for the training opportunities platform.

At the end of their work, they are expected to finalise the institutions’ information sheet, develop and validate the list of indicators to be published on the platform, and refine the data collection strategy for the platform.

As far as the platform’s development is concerned, it should be noted that a functional prototype of the platform has already been developed, with information on MINEFOP’s TVET. This beta version needs to be improved to satisfy expectations for the launch of the final version.

Similarly, the related mobile application will also be developed to be fully operational as CAM TVET platform will be available in two versions, accessible via computer and smartphone.
