The Grant Committee (GC) of the Skills Development Facility (SDF)/Secondary Education and Skills Development Project (SESDP) held a two-day session from 29 to 30 April 2025 in Mbalmayo.
The primary objective of this session was to finalise the process of selection and allocation of trainers to beneficiary institutions under Windows 2 and 3, based on the findings of the due diligence mission conducted by FISCAGEST CONSULTING AND CONTRACTOR.
Secondly, the session involved reviewing and approving draft tripartite agreements that will formalise the relationship between the SESDP, trainers, and beneficiary institutions.
Documents resulting from this session are currently being validated by the World Bank and will be published shortly.
Following publication of the lists of selected trainers per beneficiary, the next steps will include signing tripartite agreements between the SESDP, beneficiaries, and their selected trainers, signing contracts by the trainers; submission of commencement reports, release of the first subsidies by the Project, and the official start of training for staff of the beneficiary institutions.
It is anticipated that a total of 2,666 staff from 27 institutions under Window 2, including 878 women, have been proposed for training. Additionally, 7,361 staff from 141 institutions under Window 3, including 3,550 women, are expected to benefit from skills enhancement programmes.
